Warakirri Asset Management is pleased to confirm that Lonsec Research (Lonsec) has initiated coverage of the ClariVest Global Small Companies Fund with a ‘Recommended’ rating, reflecting their strong conviction in the Fund’s investment process, team and long‑term return potential.
The addition of Lonsec’s ‘Recommended’ rating builds on the ‘Recommended’ rating awarded by Zenith Investment Partners in 2025, marking a further milestone for the Fund.
The Fund, who’s underlying investment manager is ClariVest Asset Management (ClariVest), provides investors with access to an actively managed global small companies portfolio focused on identifying ‘underappreciated growth’ – where behavioural biases have created a gap between investor sentiment and improving fundamentals.
Following its initial review, Lonsec awarded the rating highlighting the robustness and repeatability of the Fund’s investment process, as well as the quality of the investment team supporting the strategy. In its report, Lonsec noted “The investment process is detailed, well‑articulated, and repeatable across the investment universe, with the manager’s internal systems providing a strong level of accountability.”
Lonsec also highlighted the strengths of the investment culture and team, stating “The Fund benefits from a boutique investment culture with a highly motivated team operating in a collegial manner.”
Established in 2006, ClariVest is a specialist global equities manager based in San Diego with over $12bn in assets under management and advisement. On 31 July 2025, Warakirri launched the ClariVest Global Small Companies Fund, providing exclusive access to ClariVest’s global small companies strategy for Australian retail and wholesale investors.
The ClariVest Global Small Companies Fund offers an actively managed and diversified portfolio of 80 -160 global small companies. The investment team integrate proprietary quantitative screening tools with fundamental analysis to identify companies that have been underappreciated by the market. The investment process seeks to create a diversified portfolio with a discounted P/E multiple relative to what might be expected, given the strength in company fundamentals.
