Lonsec upgrades rating for Warakirri Global Emerging Markets Fund

Ratings house, Lonsec Research, has upgraded its rating of the Warakirri Global Emerging Markets Fund to “Recommended” following its most recent research review.

The Fund, managed by specialist EM manager, Northcape Capital and distributed by Warakirri, provides investors with access to a concentrated, benchmark unaware, quality biased emerging markets equities exposure.

Lonsec highlighted that “the Manager’s investment process places a high degree of emphasis on downside protection within their stock selection and sovereign risk framework, alongside notable integration of ESG considerations”. Underpinning the upgrade is their “conviction in Northcape’s multi-manager approach, as well as the team’s acumen, alignment and co-tenure”.

Northcape Capital has been successfully managing global emerging markets equities for over 15 years and invests in around 20 to 40 high-quality companies with attractive and sustainable growth profiles and with a strong focus on ESG considerations.
