Warakirri Asset Management (Warakirri) and LongView have announced a distribution partnership to bring a new shared equity co-investment fund exclusively to wholesale investors seeking broader access to Australia’s residential property market.
Established in 2016, alongside their property management team, LongView have developed a shared equity scheme that coinvests alongside residential homeowners to provide additional equity to home buyers with a primary focus on buying / coinvesting in residential properties. LongView is an integrated residential property business that manages approximately 4,000 rental properties and employs a team of over 100 staff who have advised on the acquisition of thousands of homes.
LongView’s first co-investment fund raised an oversubscribed $50 million, invested in a portfolio of 200 properties and has delivered a return of 14.6% p.a. since inception to 31 March 2026.
As an established multi boutique fund manager, Warakirri will provide access to its distribution and marketing capabilities for LongView’s second fund. Warakirri’s support, together with LongView’s fifty years of property data and algorithmic modelling to identify high-performance residential assets provides a strong platform for growth.
Jim McKay, Warakirri Managing Director said: “We are excited to partner with LongView to bring another quality capability and differentiated investment solution for our clients. This fund provides our clients access to a unique property investment strategy with a solid track record and long-term growth potential.”
James Hooke, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of LongView, said: “Despite the impacts of the latest Federal budget, the underlying drivers – population growth and well-located land – support continued value appreciation for residential property. We believe LongView’s approach can provide a great way for investors to access the long-term residential thematic without any of the headaches of traditional investment property ownership, via a professionally managed, diversified investment vehicle.”
